Tournament Rules & Regulations
1. Anglers, boats and teams must abide by all Federal, State and local safety rules .All entrants must meet all State and Federal Fishing License Regulations including any HMS permits.
2. All boats must be registered with the Tournament Committee and entry fee paid to qualify for purse. Any boat substituted prior to fishing day must be approved by tournament committee. Captain's meeting held at Midtown Bistro, 2004 Highway 17 S., North Myrtle Beach, SC on April 19th at 6pm. Dinner served.
3. A boat may fish 1 out of 10 possible days. Eligible fishing days are April 20-29. In order for a fish to qualify to be weighed, a team must have declared their fishing day by 7AM on the morning of that day. Declarations are made by calling (843) 251-1134 and stating your boat name, your name and the day you are fishing, please leave your info on the machine if no one answers. If a boat does not declare properly, fish will not be eligible for weighing. A boat may enter more than once although a captain may be registered as captain once,and any fisherman, whether captain or crew may fish on more than one boat as many days as he/she chooses.
4. A boat may only weigh one fish from each species. Eligible fish are WAHOO, MAHI and TUNA (Yellowfin or Blackfin) for each respective category.
5. Fish to be weighed at Harbourgate Marina, in event of a tie, first fish weighed will determine the winner.
6. Maximum of one fish per species weighed per boat.
7. Boundaries of tournament will be from Southwest Banks to Same ole Hole.
8. Lines in from 8AM-3PM. Weigh in from 4PM-7PM on day of declaration. Weigh station closes at 7PM.
9. Fish must be weighed from the boat in which caught. No overland transport of fish. No congregation of boats during competition of declared day from 8AM to 6PM unless in the event of an emergency. Boats congregating must declare emergency on channel 16/72.
10. A boat may not make landfall on a declared fishing day during tournament competition hours before fish are weighed (7AM-3PM)
11. Tournament will monitor Channel 72, during fishing and weigh in, all boats should monitor tournament channel for instructions. For safety reasons,Tournament Committe ask that all boats call weighmaster Rhett Dickson at 843-997-9890 upon entering jetties to confirm their return from sea whether a fish is weighed or not.
12. All protest made to tournament committee shall be accompanied by $500 cash. All protest shall be made no later than one hour after the last fish has been weighed on each weigh in day. $500 will be returned if protest is upheld by tournament committee. The $500 cash deposit will become property of the Martini's HOOK A HOO RODEO if the protest is not upheld. All decisions of the protest committee are final.
Tournament LIABILITY WAIVER
In consideration for the acceptance of the entry fee, I, for myself, personal representatives, heirs and executors, release and forever discharge Martinis HOOK A HOO RODEO , all sponsors, contributors, participants, producers, their agents, representatives, successors and assigns of all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs, or expenses which I may have against them arising out of or in any way connected includes any claims based on negligence, action or inaction of any of the above-named parties. I hereby authorize the use of my name and/or likeness as well as that of all crew members, free of further consideration, for promotion and advertising purposes in any media form and reproduction, including, but not limited to radio, television, newspaper, brochure or video.
